Basic Elements in Variational Analysis with Applications in Stability Analysis

Abstract
In this talk, I will explain the basic notions in variational analysis including continuity of set-valued mappings, variational geometry, differentials of lower semi-continuous functions and set-valued mappings, stability notions for set-valued mappings. I also show the tangent-normal relations in variational geometry, the subdifferential-directional derivative relations for extended real-valued functions. I will explain Mordukhovich criterion for Aubin property and graphic derivative criterion for isolated calmness. Finally, I will talk about recent achievements in stability analysis for nonlinear conic optimization developed by using variational analysis.

张立卫教授，大连理工大学数学科学学院副院长，运筹学与控制论业博士生指导教师，金融数学与保险精算专业博士生指导教师。张立卫教授于1989年，1992年，1998年分别在大连理工大学获得理学学士，硕士，博士学位，1999-2001在中科院计算数学所从事博士后工作。目前的研究兴趣是“矩阵锥优化”，“随机规划”与“PDE约束控制与优化”。他曾经到意大利贝尔加莫大学，香港中文大学，南洋理工大学，新加坡国立大学， 香港科技大学，香港城市大学等作访问学者或高级访问学者。现任中国运筹学会常务理事，中国运筹学会数学规划分会副理事长，中国运筹学会金融工程与金融风险管理分会常务理事,《运筹学学报》编委。
