Title: Associative Cones, Hitchin's G2 Spectral Curves and Galois Theory.
Abstract: We will show the wonderful dictionary between algebraic curve (Riemann surfaces) and Lax equations, and its generalization to Hitchin systems. Then the theory will be applied to construct general almost complex tori 6-sphere, or equivaliently associative cones over tori, with the help of Galois theory. The "quantum" theory for spectral curves and Hitchin systems will be briefly mentioned in the end, with profound connections to algebraic geometries.
